I would like to draw your attention to Early Day Motion 1253 tabled by Andrew Rosindell M.P., calling for M.P.’s to support the campaign to establish St George’s Day as a public holiday for all the people of England.
As part of a growing movement of Englishmen and women who are campaigning for Her Majesty’s Government to recognise St. George’s Day as an occasion to officially celebrate our English history, culture, achievements and great traditions. In the same way that so many other countries around the world do with such pride.
Over 1,000,000 people have already voted to recognise St. George’s Day on the website, www.stgeorgesday.com and as my elected representative in the House of Commons, I would urge you do the same, by signing EDM 1253 .
