St George's Day celebrations organised jointly by Downham Market Chamber of Trade and Downham Market Town Council
23rd St George's Day Celebrations -
On the Town Square
10.00am Re-enactment of St George & Dragon story by local Drama group.
School choirs singing English songs on Town Square.
All schoolchildren will be given a red or white balloon or a small St George's flag.
Presentation of prizes for poster competition to school children
7.30pm St George's Day Concert
Town Hall, Downham Market
Cy Payne's Downham Swing Orchestra
Wednesday 23rd April 2008 7.30pm
A concert of English music including WW2 favourites
FREE bus home within Town boundaries will be provided to anyone requiring transport at the end of the concert,
Tickets £10 each including Hog Roast supper

26th St George's Day Dance. Ian & Danny Eves & The Reformation in the Town Hall 7.30pm. English 60's & 70s pop music.
Tickets £10 each including Fish 'n' Chips supper - on sale now from LEWKS Wales Court, Downham Market. (vegetarian option available if pre-booked)
60's & 70s dress optional - but there will be a prize for the best dressed on the night
